Khagaria: Hatred applies among people because of uncontrolled delays in the resolution of the RCC bridge crossing the Kachna River near the village of Anandpur Maran under the Alouli block in Khagaria.
The project was taken under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Yojana by the Department of Rural Work on January 4, 2019 with an estimated expenditure of Rs 7.42 Crore to provide road connectivity between Anandpur Maran and Paras Mushari.
Construction with the provisions of the path of the approach must be completed on January 3, 2020.
However, Dinesh Kumar Junior Engineer (JE) said the project would be completed at the end of March this year.
The bridge will provide road connectivity to several remote villages such as Jheema, Srinagar, Amooli, Sahorwa, Maraniyi, Bariyal, Sukhasan and Shyam Gharari and reduce the distance between the head office and Diagia Village.
The last part of the three pillars besides the path of the approach has not been completed.
The road approach built previously reportedly drifting during the last flood.
Local Congress Mla Chhatrapati Yadav has urged the officials concerned to ensure the initial settlement of the project for the interests of the people of the region.
