Patna: Road is a death trap for riders, pedestrians
Written by news2in

Walking through the new Colony Patliputra roads is similar to taking a big risk.
The reason: they are in a terrible condition and full of open holes that become flooded even with light or medium rainfall.
The situation worsened the day when locals often fall into the hole, hurt themselves.
This is an example.
On a typical night last week, I walked back to my house when I saw a young girl for a severely driving a scooter with the elderly grandmother.
The front wheel of the scooter stuck in the water hole and the woman fell to the ground.
I was truly lost for a while, but made myself together and navigated dirty and hard water to help both.
Some passers also come to their help.
We lifted the scooter together and noticed that the old woman was injured.
Something similar happened to me a few days later.
On the way home from school with my sister, I came very close to falling into one of the open holes.
Even though we escaped without getting hurt, it was quite scary.
Now, our parents are constantly worried about our safety every time we explore.
I got the privilege to visit MySuru with my family a few years ago.
I was fascinated by neat road conditions and road pedestrians there.
However, I could not help but wonder for Patna visitors from their experiences.
A short visit to the cleanest city of India encouraged me to write to the road authority in Bihar.
(Obviously) I did not receive responses from them.
The ardent reader from this newspaper, I decided to write to you because it brought your attention to a sad road condition in Patliputra Colony.
Some friends shrink my heart, say no one has been fruitful.
But I am a game to give this opportunity.
I asked the authorities concerned to see this problem and found a solution as soon as possible.
