Patna: Three young men died in place when their bicycles were beaten by unknown trucks on the main road Bhagalpur-Boounsi near Pista Chowk under the Bypass police station in Bhagalpur around 2.30 am on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mohd Imdoz (21), Masood Alam (20) and Vivek Kumar (22).
According to the source of the police, they are friends and students of BCON on the same campus.
They returned home after celebrating New Year’s Eve, said a police source.
In another incident, two dead young men and four others were injured critically after their motorbike collided on Jalan Bihta-Sarmera near Sikandarpur Village under the Fatuha police station on Saturday.
The police said the incident occurred around 4pm when six young people aged 18 to 25 were on their way home.
The deceased was identified as Balram Paswan (20) from Gaurich and Nikhil Kumar (18) specific.
Both of them died in place.
What was injured was taken to a government hospital in Fatuha.
Meanwhile, the newly elected Deputy Sarpanch was shot dead in Ghinhu Brahman under the Sanjhauli police station in Rohtas District.
The deceased was identified as Sahmbhu Singh from Rauni Village.
He was killed in alleged political competition with former Sarpanch.
Two people were arrested on Saturday.
Sho said eight people were crowned accused of complaints submitted by Shambhu’s brother, Algu Singh.
