Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar could not stop his smile during the ‘Janta Darbar’ program on Monday when a retired Principal Gaplanj approached him with unusual requests.
Yogendra Mishra, a retired head interplus, urged CM to get her village to join Uttar Pradesh.
His village is located near the Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border in the Gopalganj district.
Mishra Septuagenarian summoned CM during the program “Janta to Darbar Mein Mukhyamantri” at the CM Secretariat here.
When Nitish asked, “What’s your problem? Is there a way (approach) the way in your village?” “No, you already have a road built into my village,” Mishra said.
“Then, what’s your problem?” CM asked again.
“Kushinagar Regency (Uttar Pradesh) is only 1 km from my village.
My village’s geographical location clearly shows that it must be part of Kushinagar UP Regency, not Bihar.
Therefore I ask you to make my village join,” Mishra answered.
Nitish was truly stunned for a moment after hearing retired demand for the principal.
When Mishra once again repeated the demand for the merger of his village with Kushinagar Regency, CM could not stop his smile and asked his office staff to take Mishra to the senior officials of the road construction department.
A woman ‘nyaya partner’, works with Chausa Gram Panchayat in the Buxar district, told CM that she could not work as a ‘nayaya partner’ after the Gram Panchayat was increased to ‘Nagar Panchayat’.
A partner is employed in the village court to help people who are illiterate under the Pancayati system Raj.
He urged CM to adjust the ‘work’ in another department.
Bihar CM Kumar Nitish heard complaints of people in the program ‘Janta to Darbar Mein Mukhyamantri’ at Patna on Monday.
Perfeed his complaint seriously, Nitish asked the main secretary to make arrangements for the work of all ‘nayaya partners’ which had stopped working because of the conversion of the gram of Panchayat they became Panchayat Nagar.
Nitish heard complaints at all 123 applicants at Janta Darbar today and sent their application to related senior department officials.
