Patna: In a big three-day decision before the next meeting of the Country Cabinet in Valmikinagar in the West Champaran, Head of Nitish Kumar on Saturday announced Rs 20 per quintal increase with the price of buying sugar cane in the state.
Nitish took it to Twitter to announce the increase at the level of purchase of sugar cane for the decoral season 2021-22.
“The State Government, with the Association of Sugar Mills Bihar Association, has increased the rate of purchase of all sugar cane varieties for the destructive season 2021-22 for the benefit of sugar cane farmers.
It has been decided to increase the purchase rate of various sugar cane (the best) to Rs 335 per quintal from the existing level RS 315 per quintal, general varieties of up to RS 315 per quintal from existing levels of Rs 295 per quintal and low to RS 285 per quintal from the existing level of RS 272 per quintal, “Nitish tweeted.
CM has decided to hold the next meeting of the State Cabinet on December 21 at Valmyakikar in the West Champaran.
This region is dominated by sugar cane farmers.
Previously on November 20 this year, CM held a detailed meeting with the officials of the sugar cane industry and reviewed the presentation of fair and remunerative price fixation (FRP) from sugar cane for the destructive season 2021-22.
Even though there are reviews, the state government cannot announce the new level of purchase of sugar cane on the same date.
