Patna: Two more Bihar ministers – Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and Mukesh Sahani – Positive positive for Covid-19 as the country recorded 3,048 new cases on Friday against 1,84,750 samples tested.
With this, the number of active cases in the state has increased to 8,489, report Shezan Nezami.

Shahnawaz tweeted on Friday that he had tested the positive Covid-19 and asked all who had come in his contacts to be tested.
On January 5, Shahnawaz had been tested negatively for Covid before the cabinet meeting.
Even Sahani, the negative two days back, was tested positive for Coronavirus on Friday.
So far, nine ministers have been positively tested for Covid in the third wave.
The State Congress of President Madan Mohan Jha also tested Covid Positive on Friday.
With the increasing number of positive cases, the occupancy rate of beds in various hospitals also increased.
For example, 13 Covid-19 patients were treated at AIims-Patna on Friday, taking the total number of patients to 33.
Similarly, five positive patients Covid-19 were obtained by NMCH on Friday.
Most patients admit in two hospitals in their 20s.
Patna continued to be the center of the virus when registering 1,314 new cases on Friday.
However, that number was slightly less than Thursday 1,407.
