Patna: The State Cabinet on Tuesday approved Rs 838.54 Crore for the construction of new buildings and infrastructure development in four medical medical institutions of traditional medical practices and also Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH).
The agreed amount relates to fiscal 2021-22.
For building construction and other related infrastructure at Rajkiya Ayodhya Shivkumari Ayurved College and Hospital in Begusarai, the cabinet gave sanctions RS 257.46 Crore.
It has a capacity for 150 students.
Similarly, this cabinet gave Sanction Rs 121.01 Crore for the HoMeOpathic Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur, which has the capacity to accommodate 120 students.
On the other hand, the cabinet gave sanctions RS 195.63 Crore to carry out construction activities at Maharani Rameshwari Indian Science Science Institute in Mohanpur in Darbhanga.
This will be a 150 bed ayurvedic hospital.
In addition, the cabinet gave sanctions RS 264.44 for the construction of a new campus Tibbi College, Kadamkuan (Patna) and the building needed at Nalanda Medical College Hospital, Agamkuan (Patna).
The cabinet also sanctioned 127 permanent poles of teaching and non-teaching staff for Simulta Residential School for girls in Simulta in Jatui Regency.
65 Teaching posts include one school principal and representative.
In addition, there are 62 posts of staff who do not teach.
The cabinet agreed to the construction of Jannakeak Karpori Thakur Hostel in Patna and Vaishali districts with RS 9.19 Crore expenditure.
While the proposal comes from the Backward Caste (EBC) caste department and a very backward welfare class, construction will be made by State Bridge Construction Corporation.
The cabinet also sanctioned the construction of the hostel in eight districts at a cost of Rs 66.52 Crore.
Of these, Rs 10 Crore will be released related to the financial year of 2021-22, and the remaining pieces of RS 56.52 Crore in the next fiscal.
The Cabinet also gave sanctions for the construction of the +2-girl high school near the Barr Pond in the Darbhanga District Effector Block at a cost of Rs 7.12 Crore.
In accordance with the temporary order of the Patna High Court, the Cabinet has allowed sand mining by contractors until further orders of the court.
In addition, it also gave sanctions the return of royalties worth 267.83 crore on the sand to the contractor with whom the settlement for mining was carried out in 2019.
