Washington: Former President Bill Clinton was treated at the South California Hospital with an infection but “on improvement,” his spokesman said.
Clinton, 75, was treated at the University of California Irvine Center on Tuesday night for non-Covid-19-related infections, Angel Urena said Thursday in a statement.
“He was repaired, in a good spirit and very grateful to doctors, nurses, and staff gave him very good care,” said Urena.
The second statement from the Spokesperson of Clinton quoted Doctor Dr.
Alpesh Amin and Dr.
Lisa Bardack, who said the former president was “given antibiotics and IV fluids.” “After two days of treatment, the number of white blood cells was prominent and he responded to antibiotics well,” said the doctors.
“The California-based medical team has communicated constantly with the New York-based medical team, including the cardiology.
We hope he will go home soon.” President Joe Biden plans to speak by telephone with Clinton on Friday, the White House spokesman Karine Jean-Pierre.
“The President sent his best hope for President Clinton,” he said.
In the years since Clinton left the White House in 2001, the former president had faced health fears.
In 2004, he underwent a quadruple bypass surgery after experiencing prolonged chest pain and shortness of breath.
He returned to the hospital for surgery for the lung who fainted in 2005, and in 2010 he had a pair of stents implanted in the coronary artery.
He responded by hugging most of the vegan diet which saw it losing weight and reported health improvement.
He repeatedly returned to the stump, campaigning for democratic candidates, mostly, especially his wife, Hillary, as long as his offer failed 2008 for the president’s nomination.
And in 2016, when Hillary Clinton looked for the White House as a Democratic nomination, Bill Clinton _ at that time a grandfather and approached 70 _ back to the campaign trail.
A spokesman for Foundation Clinton said the former president was in the Los Angeles area for private events related to his charity organization.
The UCI medical center is in Orange County, about 40 miles (64 km) southeast of Los Angeles.
