Gorakhpur: Police on Saturday was arrested sixth and the latter named COPS wanted to be in connection with the murder of Manish Gupta – Kanpur businessman who was allegedly beaten to death by police in a hotel.
Vijay’s sub-inspector Yadav escaped because the police had registered a murder case with respect to the incident.
He brought RS 1 Lakh cash prize in his head.
Vijay Yadav was arrested from the Cantonment area at Gorakhpur when he planned to hand in court, digging, the ranks of Gorakhpur, said J Ravindra Gaud.
On October 13, the police had arrested Constable Kamlesh Yadav.
A day ago, Sub-Inspector Rahul Dubey and Constable Prashant Kumar were arrested.
Before that, the police had arrested the main defendant, Inspector JN Singh and Akshay Mishra’s sub-inspector.
Special Investigation Team (sitting) from Kanpur Police, who investigated this case, has named six policemen as accused and announced a prize of each Rs 1 lakh on them on October 8 on September 27, then JN Singh, Vijay, Vijay, Vijay Yadav and Three other police broke into a hotel room, where Gupta lived with two servants.
Then, the police allegedly struggled after their after Gupta suffered a fatal injury.
