MEERUT: In a letter to EC, the Secretary General of the State of BJP JSP Rathore has requested a poll official to ensure “the exact examination of identity of the woman ‘Pardanashin’ (in Purdah / Burqa) appeared at the election center”.
He accused “women with their fully closed faces involved in fake elections and this must be examined”.
The letter came on 55 assembly seats in nine districts in Uttar Pradesh, most of them were dominated by a minority, going to the election on Monday.
“I have a report that today (Monday), Many Pardanashin women have given their voices without the right identification in some booths.

BJP also demands the spread of police women in all polling booths to maintain close closures in the process.
Slamming the letter, the Western Congress over Dheeraj Gurjar said, “Every time BJP feels that the party loses the land, they start choosing a cheap theater like that.”
