Chennai: Five hours after marriage, N Vinodh Kumar, a BJP member in Nanganallur in Chennai, filed his nomination for the Board member post on Friday.
The 33-year-old was at a party since 2013.
He runs a public service center and has helped the Thillai Ganga Nagar residents with all their certificates and other government document requirements.
“I always want to work with people.
My father is a factory worker.
I want to increase the subway in the area and also get government sanctions for Overbridge on this neighborhood (No 162) if I was chosen as a board member,” he said.
Vinodh went with his wife to Chennai’s Zonal Corporation office in the harbor and handed over his letters.
“My wife supports my decision.
So I’m sure she will understand if I’m busy after I become a member of the council,” he said.
BJP has reduced candidates in all 200 wards in the city and competing alone in the state for local body polls.
