PUDUCHERRY: The BJP Puducherry unit made his intention clearly on Friday and stated that the party would set his candidate for Lone Rajya Sabha’s seat under the National Democratic Alliance in the Union region.
The party goes further and urges alliance partners all India NR Congress (AINRC) to expand support to party candidates for polls.
The term Rajya Sabha MP N Gokulakrishnan (AIDMK) ended in October 6.
Nomination for Lone RS seats, which began on September 15, will be closed on September 22 and polls, if required on 4.

The Puducherry unit of the Safron Party held a legislator meeting On Friday where the party ministers, elected and nominated and independent MLAS members, who extend their support to the party, participated and warned in the Sabha’s Rajya seat.
The meeting was completed to involve the party candidate under NDA and urged the leader of the founder of AINRC and Chair of Minister N Rangasamy, who also led NDA in Puducherry, to expand support to party candidates.
However, local BJP leaders are above the party candidate.
Speculation was rampant that former President of Tamil Nadu BJP L Murugan, who lost a 2021 poll assembly to DMK n Kayalvizhi in Dharapuram but was appointed as the State Minister for Union for information and broadcasting it would be a party candidate for the seat hospital in Puducherry.
“The BJP Party with a maximum representation in the Assembly has decided to involve his candidate under NDA.
We have six selected members and three members nominated,” said the leader of the BJP legislative party and Namassivayam Minister of Home Affairs, added that three independent members also supported the party.
