Raiganj: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leader 37-year-old shot dead at his home in the district of Uttar Dinajpur West Bengal and police arrested one person in this connection, an official said on Monday.
Mithun Ghosh, a local leader of the BJP youth wing, was fired around 9:30 a.m.
on Sunday.
When he was taken to the hospital, the doctor stated he was taken dead, the Mohammed police district supervisor there was akhtar told PTI.
Ghosh had gone with two people and took home a few firearms.
The bullet who killed him was fired from one of the weapons, he said.
“It is still unclear how the incident happened.
It was also unknown why he brought two firearms.
We are investigating this problem,” said Akhtar.
A pine was registered by the police after Ghosh’s cousin submitted a complaint who alleged that the two people who were with BYM leaders left on Sundays involved in the murder.
SP said one of the two defendants was arrested during the search for another.
Local BJP leaders claimed that the powerful Trinamool congress thug behind Ghosh’s murder.
