Paris: Firefighters were searching through the debris Tuesday morning for four people who were feared buried in a blast that collapsed a three-story apartment building on the South Mediterranean coast of the South France.
The authorities for the South VAR region said one person was withdrawn in critical conditions of the remnants of buildings and three others needed emergency medical care following the explosion during the early hours of Tuesday morning in the coastal city of Sanary-sur-Mer.
Four people remained uncountable – for and feared buried under a pile of rubble giants, Var authorities said.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear but the Var authorities said the first respondent saw a strong gas smell on arrival at the scene.
