Bengaluru: City Police, who have suspended the examination of drinks and drives for the past 18 months, continued enforcement since Friday midnight and ordered 46 people.
However, instead of using an alcometer, all 46 motorists / drivers experience a blood test.
To decide which driver / driver needs to be subject to a medical test, the police relies on pre-alcometer era techniques: personnel in charge of sniffing people.
“Once we can smell alcohol on them, we take them to the government hospital for the exam.
After a doctor’s report that the sample was tested positive for alcohol, we ordered it,” said Kuldeep Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of the police (traffic).
Although the department wants to continue the examination of drinks and the drive earlier this year, it was postponed because the second wave of raging.
