Bengaluru: The number of people arrested for ownership, consumption, and dealing with drugs in Bengaluru saw a leap of 42% between 2020 and 2021 – from 3,673 to 5,208.
This increase was more than 300% since the 2019 pre-pandemic year, which saw 1,260 arrests.
