Mumbai: Andheri Civic Ward (K West) with the highest Active Covid -19 case has issued a notification to assess housing buildings in the region to conduct a rampant test to combat steep increases in cases witnessed by the area.
According to notice aimed at the Secretary and Chair of all buildings in West W Ward, BMC said that the ward had seen a surge in Covid cases in the last few days.

In accordance with the Covid BMC dashboard, the West Ward peak list of 24 wards with the highest active case at 4,564.
This notice also informs the carrier of the housing community office about new BMC guidelines about building sealing.
A building will be sealed if more than 20% of the flat population occupied positively testing.
If the Covid case is found on a certain floor, then only the floor will be sealed for 14 days.
BMC has also warned that if anyone refuses to undergo testing, strict action will be taken.
Satam Satam Andheri Local MLA said that BMC should not act selectively and show urgency in controlling the spread of Covid-19.
