Pune: The Dawoodi Bohra community made a cleanliness encouragement to mark the 152-year anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in the area of Pune Cantonment (PCB) on Saturday.
The drive consists of a convoy of vehicles decorated with the message ‘clean pune’ consisting of motorbikes, bicycles, electric scooters, and SUVs – all slogan bearings’ Please do not dispose of litter.

The drive was marked by Commissioner of Pune Pune Amitabh Gupta and Amit Kumar, Chief Executive PCB, and Abdeali Bhaisaab Nooruddin, Head of Dawoodi Bohras in Pune from Hussainy Baug, Convent Street at Pune Camp.
“This will be a sustainable activity and we plan to organize other environmentally friendly events throughout the year,” Abdeanali said.
On this occasion, the Felicated Abdeanali Karttavya Foundation was the leader who was responsible at Pune for 19 pandemic time.
“He guided community members in various social welfare activities that occurred when Covid 19 cases were high in the city.
Members of the community distributed Ransum Kit to those in need, helping hospitals, drinks to the police on duty during locking services, oxygen and ambulance,” said community members .
The community has made arrangements for staff involved in covid vaccination assignments in the Cantonment.
