Shimla: In the heart of Apple District Shimla, BJP faced a rebellion after refusing tickets to Chetan Bragta, the son of the former leader of the MLA and Senior BJP Bragta.
Chetan is a strong competitor for tickets from the Jubbal-Kotkhai assembly chair that falls after his father’s death and his name is in the panel, but the BJP Central Parliament Council decides to strant Neelam Saraik while denying tickets to Chetan, taking a party’s request not promoting the politics of the dynasty.
Angry supporters from Bragta on Thursday took procession in Gumma and held a public meeting from which they signaled a rebellion if the high party command failed to change tickets.
Supporting Narinder Bragta was not happy with the decision to deny tickets to Chetan and the sound of increasing disability from public meetings which would definitely spell problems for BJP in general elections to be held on October 30.
Chetan tears spilled during the address in the meeting.
He said if he was rejected the ticket then the same thing had to be told to him in advance and he must at least be given a safe way.
He added that for the past 15 years he served BJP and at that time no one pointed to his dyastic root.
He said the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and the leadership of BJP State must provide an answer why he was rejected by a ticket.
While overcoming his supporters, he said that now he would do what he would ask public to him.
He said that within 15 days of his father’s death, he was forced out to campaign in elections and why he was not told about the dynasty root.
He said that he was not interested in competing, but the leadership of the country’s top parties asked him to compete.
It stated that it was the deceased his father who had pocketed this chair from Congress for the first BJP in 2007, he said BJP must reconsider the ticket decision because it would be fatal for the party.
Because Friday is the last day of submission nominations, now all eyes are in the next step of Chetan Bragta and former MLA from Arki Govind Sharma, who has also been rejected by tickets.
