LONDON: The British Health Secretary praised the “Extraordinary Results” of the Experimental Pfizer antivirus pill trial for Covid-19 which country has bought 250,000 courses.
The US company said on Friday it had stopped the drug trial early after it was proven to cut the opportunities for hospitalization or death for adults at risk of experiencing severe illness of 89%.
“If approved, this can be another important weapon in our warehouse to fight viruses with our vaccines and other treatments, including Molnupiravir, which is the first country in the world to approve this week,” said Sajid Javid England.
Last month Britain said it had secured 250,000 Pfizer antivirus pill courses and 480,000 molnupiravir courses.
