BSL began trial of AI-based prediction monitoring system

Written by news2in

BOKARO: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) on Sundays began testing the Prediction Monitoring System for Intelligence (AI).
BSL, Indian Steel Authority Unit Limited (Sail), is on the verge of digital transformation for further transparency, productivity and efficiency in the core steel production process.
Head of Communication, BSL, Manikant Dhan said, “Big leaps have been achieved by BSL in the strategic direction of digital transformation with the initial test of artificial intelligence-based prediction monitoring systems in various stores such as blast furnaces, sintered factories.
And hot strip mill.” BSL has collaborated with Hyderabad Minto AI based companies to improve the prediction system.
Under this trial, the smart-based sensor is currently installed on equipment such as cold screen motors from sintered mills, rotation motors for material distribution in the blast furnace and the main crane hoist motorbike in hot strip mill, which works for spidersense, internet industrial platform (IoT ) M / S Minto AI platform.
Dhan said, “This sensor uses AI, the process of knowledge and physics to provide operational intelligence to engineers and plant operators that help in planning predictive maintenance and warnings.” The test execution of this predictive monitoring system is coordinated by the organizer of the digital transformation, Saurabh Singh, which is the Senior Manager of the Energy Management Department (EMD) at BSL.
Singh said, “This system has begun to collect and store various important data on the cloud that will be modeled with algorithms to make warnings and analytics.
This will be able to help in monitoring health machines through digital technology.”
