New Delhi: In addition to a significant increase in budget allocation, the government also tends to announce the introduction of higher-speed trains that can run at 180-200 KMPH on the Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) route in the Union budget that will be presented on Tuesday.
The source said the government would announce more trains, similar to Vande Bharat type train, which would be the future of the train for passenger transportation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 has announced the rotten 75 Vande Bharat train which developed indigenously in 75 weeks.
Another major focus of the budget will be in stock rolls which include 6,500 alumnium coaches, 1,240 locomotives and around 35,000 cars in an effort to fully make their fleets.
Proposal for mass production of aluminum coaches, a gradual shift from steel LHB coach to the efficient mild energy, in the railroad budget aims to meet the objectives of national transport twins – reduced energy consumption and increased loading bauxite for aluminum plants.
The plan proposed to take full steam for the production of around 6,500 aluminum coaches also imagined growth in shipping with more bauxite loading and reducing power consumption for a mild energy-saving coach.
Like the trainset (Vande Bharat Train) in the passenger sector, the train ministry also proposes to introduce EMU for shipping operations with carriages, which will meet the requirements of small players.
Officials said there would be an announcement with the aim of reducing logistics costs in the train starting 14% to 11%.
Proposed initiatives tend to reduce transportation costs for cargo by 4%.
Sources say the government will make some budget provisions for new technology promotions.
