Rajkot: Sub-Division Magistrate Bungalow (HR) on the airport road was broken down when the family was on October 24.
Pandya Parimal Hdm lived in Ahmedabad when he posted there, but his wife Kiran lived in Rajkot in their home.
On October 23, Kiran had gone to a letter with family and they returned the next day, police said.
When reaching the house the next day, Kiran found that the house door was forcibly opened by breaking the key.
When he entered, he heard someone talking on the first floor of the house.
Kiran shouted to ask who it was but didn’t dare to go upstairs.
Within minutes, three people quickly ran down and escaped from home.
Then, he went to the first floor and found valuables lying scattered on the floor.
Further check the safe, Kiran knows that Rs 30,000 cash and gold jewelry worth Rs 2.8 lakh are lost.
Complaints of theft were then submitted at the Gandhigram police station against three unknown people.
“We have identified thieves based on CCTV recordings and we will soon arrest them,” said Inspector Khumansinh Vala from the Gandhigram police station.
