Mumbai: The authorities pondered to reopen Vermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and the zoo on byculla for the public after October 22.
Their efforts began after CM Uddhav Thackeray tweeted last month that the theater and auditorium would open after the zoo.
Open, people can expect some new attractions.
The top list is the first view of the two new additions to the Humboldt Penguin colony.
Also, not many can meet with the Royal Tiger Bengal Shakti and Karishma who were brought from Siddharth Garden and the zoo in the city of Aurangabad in February 2020, just before the country was under the national lock.
The zoo was opened on February 15, 2021, after the first wave but was closed in a short time due to concern over the second covid wave.
A senior zoo official said talks with active senior administration and decisions about reopening will be taken soon.
“We have got questions when the zoo will open.
With the theater that tends to be open after October 22, the decision on the zoo will be taken soon,” said the official added that the appropriate prevention of Covid like the staggered entry would be taken.
Zoo officials said the youngest gender penguin born in August has not been determined.
It can be done only once a bird leaves the nest, where his parents still give him eat.
When sex has not been determined, the girl has not been named.
Penguin born on May 1 this year has been named Oreo.
Apart from the two newborns, there are seven other birds – olives (7 years), Popeye (6), Donald (5.5), Daisy (5.5), Molt (5), Flipar (5).
