Voting for Ward 97 at Adarsh Nagar Legislative Assembly was held at a private college at Jawahar Nagar.
Voting runs peacefully even though a woman complains that she can’t vote.
“When I showed my identity card, the polling staff told me that someone had chosen using this ID,” Santara said.
In the afternoon, a political party worker also seemed to have agriculture with police officers.
The worker was accused of roaming around the voting station creating a problem for voters.
When asked to leave, he began to scream in officially and threatened him from the transfer order.
MLA Rafik Khan along with the Congress of the Candidate Sunita Devi was seen talking to voters.
Khan admitted that both seats would support the Congress.
BJP has provided a ticket to Prem Devi from Bangsal 97.
Both Bangsal seats are reserved for caste schedules.
Congress has provided a ticket for Mahesh Tamboli from Bangsal 57 while BJP has deployed the death of the Mahendra Dalet Children’s child Himanshu.
At present, BJP has 44 seats in the City Council while Congress has 47 in addition to the support of nine independent candidates.
