CA students to benefit from TEL

Vadodara: Now, Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) students will also get practical exposure when pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA).
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) launched the train, obtained and studied (TEL) initiatives to provide work and practical experience to city students when they studied CA.
“This initiative will help students become independent.
Under TEL initiative, students from various trade universities are trained in a sustainable and completion of training, they become eligible for internships with CA companies,” said Manish Gadia, Chair of the Indian Regional Board (WIRC) from ICAI, on the sidelines of the two-day national conference which began in the city on Friday.
“First students, the second and third year BCAC will be able to undergo two-week courses to improve their skills,” Gadia added.
The Wirc delegation also met with city-based university officials who seek their support for the launch of Vadodara’s initiative.
About 2,500 students have been trained and placed in various companies based on initiative in Mumbai while this program has also been launched in Dhule, Amravati and Pune in the western region.
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is a brand ambassador for this initiative.
On the suggestion of the SOOD, WIRC has also decided to provide free coaching to 3,000 students and free training to 800 other students who lost their parents to a covid-19-induced pandemic.
“Icai has decided to fully ignore the test costs of such students who have orphans during a pandemic,” said Arpit Kabra, Secretary WIRC.
