Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Friday rejected the BPP appeal prayer that was looking for central forces for Kolkata Civic polls on Sunday, the day after justice Rajasekhar Mantha did not cause BJP petition.
A division bench from the Chairman of the Prakash Shrivastava and Justice Rajarshi Bharadwaj did not find “enough material” in the BJP appeal “which involves land for the spread of central paramilitary forces in the upcoming Kolkata election.” BJP moved the Supreme Court for Saturday’s urgent Saturday, BJP Advocate said at the Bikash Singh record.
The party had previously submitted a petition to leave specifically in the APEX court looking for central forces for Kolkata Civic polls.
The SC then directed the applicant to take a request for Calcutta HC.
HC bench, while noting that “no concrete incident of the violence that has been shown today”, did not rule out fear between the applicants.
It directs the state and state selection commissions to “reconsider” the security settings plan and “strengthen the spread” in the polling booth.
Division Bench Passed Landing After Advocate General N Mookherji submitted 18,000 from a total of 27,000 Kolkata police personnel and 5,000 of 69,669 West Benggal police personnel have been deployed and some can be given to demand.
The court recorded the submission of additional lawyers in general to send central forces within six hours and direct the SEC to take “the right decisions” in consultation with state authorities based on the basic situation.
“This decision must be taken by the state authority concerned and the lonely things in the view of the land situation,” the bench was observed.
The court also directed the SEC to hold a meeting with the state for the steps to build trust among voters.
It allows BJP applicants to send suggestions on ways to hold free and fair elections.
The chairman of justice holding the SEC and the state is responsible for conducting free and fair polls and asking the authorities to submit a compliance report on December 23.
