Rajkot: Union Minister for the port, shipping and waterways, Sarbanou Sonowal, Laid Foundation Stone for various projects in the Deendayal Port Trust (DPT), before Kandla Port, on Tuesday.
These projects include two dome-shaped warehouse warehouses to be built at a cost of RS 36 Crore, Pier Oil number 8 at Old Kandla at a cost of Rs 99 Crore, Parking Plaza for trucks and vehicles with additional facilities such as canteen, garage, shelter.
The cost of Rs 14 Crore and modernization of existing pipelines is equal to Rs 126 Crore.
Sonowal said infrastructure in the DPT will be increased to accelerate cargo permits.
He is a two-day visit to the main port.
