Candidature Bypoll: BJP, Cong faces a lot of problems

Written by news2in

Haveri: Even when the process of submitting nominations for Bypolls to Sindgi and the hanging chair has begun, BJP in power and the opposition congress is still hesitant about their respective candidates.
The reason: there is too much to choose from.
In Hang, BJP has 19 candidates, including Revathi, the wife of Haveri MP Shivakumar Udasi.
Ravarathi’s father, CM UDasi held a chair for six times before he died in June and he was looking for a ticket because of his family lineage.
But local RSS leaders reportedly suggested leadership to choose loyal party workers.
If the party requires RSS suggestions, then the new face will appear.
Other ticket aspirants include: BJP District President Siddaraj Kalkoti, former MLA Shivaraj Sajjana, former MP Manjunath Kunnur, Krishna Ilager, Bhojaraj Kingudi.
However, the Chairman of the Minister of Basavaraj Bommai was reported to support the udasis because he did not want to experiment with a new face.
“Hangal Falls under the district of his house and the defeat here will definitely ask questions about his leadership abilities.
So he supports the families of Udasi because he thinks it is a safe bet,” said a source.
The BJP Core Committee, which is a meeting on Sunday, is expected to complete candidates for both seats.
The Secretary General of the National BJP Karnataka Incharge Arun Singh will lead the meeting.
In Sindgi too, this party faces a lot of problems with eight candidates, including former Mla Ramesh Bhusanur, lobbying for tickets.
The source said that the party can choose a new face.
Congress struggled to conduct a ceasefire among the strong competitors of MLC Srinivas Mane and former Minister of Monohar Tahasildar.
Although KPCCPresident DK Shivakumar and opposition leader Siddaramaiiah held three meetings with the leaders of Haveri Regency in less than a week, consensus remained difficult to understand.
Now it appears that the ticket battle has turned into a battle between the locals versus the mane.
Mane comes from the adjacent Dharwad district.
However, the party can decide to support the mane because he lost the 2018 election for CM UDasi by 5,000 votes, the Congressional official said.
In Sindgi, the party has completed the name Ashok Managuli, the son of the former Minister of Manajuli whose death requires Bypoll to the segment.
Managuli left JD and joined the Congress three months ago.
The last date for file nominations is on October 8.
