Ahmedabad: Nearly 35 Lakh people qualify for the second dose but show some doubts are the main target for the campaign of countries to achieve 100% vaccination against Covid-19.
According to state health department officials, around 15% of people have taken the first dose and are scheduled for the second but have not taken the jab – the number comes to around 35 lakh.
Three recent notifications by the State Government stated all commercial companies with more than 100 people to vaccinate all employees, all government offices to vaccinate officers and personnel, and patient vaccination status in all medical facilities managed by the government.
On Thursday night, the state had provided 6.8 crore vaccines with vaccination 3.53 lakh.
Three city corporations and five districts have achieved 100% vaccination for the first dose.
Letter is the first city in the state to reach 100% of its target for the first dose of vaccination.
But when it arrived at the second dose, only 52.38% had been taken.
Encouraging the second dose, Municipal Corporation will also begin to examine the main commercial organizations to verify whether all their staff members are fully vaccinated.
Among the big cities, Vadodara led the package when it comes to managing second jab to residents.
According to data released by Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), 94.77% of people in the city have taken the first dose and 70.54% took the second.
VMC officials said that there was a phase when it became clear that people did not rise to take second jab.
“We have those who call them the second dose maturity.
Health workers also visited the people’s homes and reminded them of the second dose,” VMC Health Officer Dr.
Devesh Patel.
In Rajkot, 98.94% of the qualified population had taken the first dose of the 56.78% vaccine had taken both shots.
The health department here contacts everyone who qualifies for the second dose to take it as soon as possible and provide repeat reminders.
