T’puram: The Museum police filed a case against Muraleedharan’s parliamentarian members on Tuesday after he graduated ‘sexually colored’ comment on Mayor Arya Rajendran while handling protest meetings.
The police registered a case based on complaints submitted by Rajendran.
In his complaint, the mayor said MP made a comment with the embarrassing motive of his femininity in public and his comments had sexual nuances.
The Museum police said that the case against MP was submitted under the IPC 354 A section (related to sexual abuse) and 509 (related to insulting modesty).
Muraleedharan said on Tuesday that the mayor was beautiful but the words that came out of his mouth were violations.
However, he expressed regret for his comments.
“If my words hurt the mayor’s feelings, I reveal regret.
I intend to say that the behavior of the mayor is not mature.
I will continue to criticize his immature decisions and behavior,” Muraleedharan said.
Some prominent people have occupied the position of mayors in the capital and they have gained respect for everyone, including opposition.
However, there are several complaints against the current mayor for their behavior towards council members and also against the people, he said.
“I intend to show his mistake and in that statement I used a few words that hurt his feelings.
I didn’t think something insulted when I said he was beautiful.
But the only problem was, he said it hurt him.
Therefore I apologized,” he added.
“I am very special that it should not happen from my side in the future.
Therefore, I did not hesitate to apologize if my words hurt a woman,” he said.
