Palanpur: The vehicle movement to Mount Abu has been hampered after a large cave on the road near the Toll Plaza on Sunday night.
Local administration says that the work to repair the crater is 30 feet in and the width of 12 feet is in full swing.
Although there were no casualties when the road gave up on Sunday night, but the movement of large vehicles such as buses and trucks had been suspended.
Only small vehicles such as cars and two-wheeled are allowed to forward it at limited speed.
According to the Mount Abu (HR) Sub-Division Judge Abhishek Surana, the road surrendered when work in the storm channel was there.
He added that because of the rain that was unrelenting for the past few days, loose land was swept from leading to a big crater.
“The road restoration work in a full swing and we hope that normal traffic is continued on Tuesday night,” Surana told Ti.
The tourists who were stranded at the hill station, alternative settings were made and they were being transported through an alternative route in and out of Mount Abu using a small vehicle.
