The Central Secondary Education Council (CBSE) in collaboration with Giant Tech, Meta, aims to train 10 Lakh teachers and more than 1 Crore students in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in the next three years.
As part of this partnership, Meta has provided curriculum on digital security, online welfare, VR and AR.
Speaking to Times Education, Bissya Saha, Director, CBSE, said, “AR and VR will be introduced as a subject of skills for class VIII to VIII and will be integrated into STEM XII education.
This vision is to democratize and universalize parent education.
Students will learn The theory and will also have a project and internship.
We also plan to have laboratory experiments to make learning more profound and experience.

“In addition, students will also be encouraged to utilize AR and VR in entrepreneurship.
Some topics to be covered are; digital etiquette, welfare, digital citizenship, digital footprints, security and cyber security.
Students will also be given knowledge to take care of passwords.

Joseph Emmanuel, Director, CBSICS (Academics), said, “All technical aspects related to AR and VR at the appropriate level will be taught to students in a well-defined manner in this emerging knowledge domain.
