Thiruvananthapuram: The center has agreed to consider the country’s demand to declare the wild boar as a flea that destroys plants in areas side by side with the forest, the word forests and wildlife A K SEATASEDRAN.
The Minister on Monday met Minister of Comparative for the Environment, Forest and Climate Change of Bhupinder Yadav, and submitted a memorandum by the state in this matter.
“The minister has agreed to take a soft view of this issue.
The minister said that it would provide all assistance in the contour of the wildlife protection law in this regard.
The discussion at the secretary level will continue and we hope that profitable decisions will develop in this matter , “said Saseendran Toi.
As a beginning to consider the demand of the state, the main secretary (forest and wildlife) Rajesh Kumar Sinha and the Head of the Head of Forest and Head of the Forest Power of PK Keshvan will hold a discussion with the Secretary and Director General of Climate Change in the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
Further discussions will be held with the Union Minister who is expected to visit the state in the last week of November or the first week of December.
The state has approached the center after the great destruction of agricultural plants by wild boar, makes life difficult for farmers in the area near the forest.
In accordance with the numbers given by the minister in the assembly on October 7 this year, 504 wild pigs were shot dead in one and a half months until then.
In his meeting with the UNI Minister, Saseendran also submitted a detailed project report (DPR) prepared by the State Forest Department to reduce the conflict of wildlife.
The state plans to implement the project in the next five years, which has requested the assistance of Rs 620 Crore from the center.
The proposal has been prepared in such a way that the costs will be borne by the center and the state in the proportion of 60:40.
Saseendran said that so centers provide financial assistance, this project can be completed in the specified time.
He said that the government took steps to ensure adequate food and water to wildlife in the forest.
He said that to limit the boundaries of forest using the digital method, the state has been seeking financial assistance of 60 crore from the center.
