Rajkot: After the pursuit of the action, the Branch of Crime Rajkot police arrested a chain snatch on Saturday.
The accusation was allegedly targeting senior residents who used to walk in the morning with Jalan Kalavad and Ring Road of Rajkot.
The defendant was identified as AJJ Uthar (47) Native Devbhalia District Devbhumi Dwarka.
Described as a morning pedestrian, the branch of the crime put a trap to be accused of around 5.30 in the morning on both roads.
After going through the CCTV camera footage from the previous incident, the police had a rough idea of the appearance of the Snatchers chain.
Ashok Danagar Saw Uthar near Janki Park Main Road of Kalavad Road is around 6.15 in the morning.
When Dangar approached him, Uthar identified him as a police officer and tried to escape in his bicycle.
When his bicycle slipped, Uthar began to run and take a bicycle from a student in the Knifepoint.a team led by Sub-Inspector M V Rabari chasing Uthar and Poubed Uthar near Indira Circle on the Ring Road.
Uthar’s fast bike slipped again but rather than giving up he tried to take his knife, who had fallen, with the aim of attacking the police.
But Pushparajsinh Jadeja, a national hockey player, defeated him.
Police said that Uthar was used to choose senior citizens because they were an easy target.
Then, it used to combine jewelry with small money lenders.
After paying the amount he used to sell stolen jewelry on the market.
Walking before was arrested from Khambhalia for the same violation.
He took to take a chain after watching CCTV snippets from similar crimes that occurred in Delhi.
The police recovered three gold chains from the ownership of the defendant, worth Rs 2.25 lakh.
During the interrogation he claimed to have committed eleven violations in the past year where some of the incidents were last week.
