Patna: The Virat Ramayan Temple (VRT), which is currently being built near Sesarisan in the East Champaran, will display the largest shivling in the world, 33 feet and 33 feet in the circumference.
VRT has been designed with new technology to ensure that it has a minimum age of 250 years and all modern facilities to help worshipers in offering prayer without difficulty.
Vineet Kumar Jaiswal, Former Director General of General Public Works recently designated as the Head of Technical Adviser to the VRT project, has proposed new technology aimed at improving construction stability and adding new features to a 100-hectare temple.
He has lended his expertise to sustainable projects to build a new parliament building.
Acharya Kishore Kunal, Mahavir Mandir’s Trust Secretary who built a VRT, told this reporter, “Black granite stone is worth around Hospital 1 Crore purchased at Kankumumari and transported to Mahabalipuram for the construction of the largest shivling in the world, weighs 250 metric tons.” Even though heighted 29 metric Feet are considered the highest to date, VRT will surpass it with four feet.
