Chandigarh: City on Saturday reported two Covid-19 deaths and 87 new cases, increasing tolls to 1,151, and calculating up to 91,296, with 686 active cases.
A total of 127 patients were repatriated, taking a recovery count to 89,459 patients had run out.
The victims were a 70-year-old man from Manimajra (not vaccinated) having chronic obstructive lung disease and a 28-year-old woman from Hallomajra.
He was taken dead to GMCH, sector 32, and was tested positively annually.
He was vaccinated for the first dose.
Inpatient also reduced because of 98 patients in oxygen support, while 20 patients were in the ventilator.
The level of participation is 3.22% on Saturday, while weekly front is 3.66%.
“Until the end of this month, there will be several cases of everyday reported together with death.
But after this month, endemic cases will be reported,” said a public health expert.
He said, “Despite reinfection and vaccination, there are cases reported because of the runaway variant of the immune.
That is why we still need to take necessary precautions.” The test level of the test has been reduced to 3.7%, while the national average is 5.1 %.
The test per million per day increased to 2,360, placed in the fourth slot nationally.
The national average is 1,065.5 in tests per million per day.
