Rajkot: Based on the allegations of corruption which was leveled with the Police Commissioner of Rajkot (CP) Manoj Agarwal by BJP MLA from Rajkot South Constituency Govind Patel, Commissioner with the police (JCP), Rajkot, Khursheed Ahmed on Saturday ordered an investigation into allegations.
He has entrusted the Commissioner of the Police Crime Crime Assistant (ACP) to investigate the average.
“We will ask about the accusations made in a letter by MLA Govindbhai Patel.
ACP crime (DV Basiya) will conduct an investigation and will send a report as soon as possible.
If something substantially comes out in an inquiry, the right action will be taken,” Ahmed told toi .
He further added, “This is a basic investigation to find out the facts of the case and the accusations made.

Patel accused that the crime branch did not propose matters and instead demanded 15% of the number of Rs 7 Crore recovered.
“For the recovery of Rs 7 Crore, Commissioner demanded Rs 75 lakh through his police inspector and put pressure (at Sakhiya) to pay the remaining RS 30 lakh”, the letter stated.
