Kolkata: Airlines that operate between Dhaka and Kolkata have been asked to become more alert with RT-PCR tests and ensure that only those who have a negative report from the test carried out within 72 hours before departure is permitted to ride the flight.
On arrival, the airport authority must ensure that all passengers undergo other RT-PCR tests.
All international tourists are now asked to undergo a RT-PCR test before departure and after arrival.
But the State Health Department official reiterated the need to follow the SOP strictly to maintain the MU variant, which might not be borne by the vaccine, in the bay.

If there are passengers insist on free services, it can be sent to CNCI for testing.
If someone tests positively, passengers will be accepted for ID & BG,” said a Senior Ministry of Health Officials.
At the meeting, airport officials also brought a matter of 13-city partial prohibition (Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Nagpur, Nagpur, but no decision about the extension of the normal flight movement in these sectors was taken..
