Thiruvananthapuram: The children’s park in Ponmudi was inaugurated on Thursday by D K Murali Mla.
The park that has been built at a cost of Rs 2 Crore as part of Ponmudi Lower Sanatorium’s beauty is located near the guest house.
This park has been designed in such a way that children and elders can enjoy the facilities.
Small watch tower has also been arranged.
Toilets and canteens run by the KUDUmbasree unit will also function near the park.
The main road to Ponmudi Government Guest House has also widened and now the vehicle can move smoothly.
During the MLA event said that the road to Ponmudi was damaged during landslides and steps must be taken to complete the repair work so that tourists can reach there easily.
Environmental members, DTPC representatives and guesthouse managers were present on that occasion.
