New Delhi: The buildup of military by China in the East Ladakh region and new infrastructure development to maintain large-scale spreads is a matter of concern and India has maintained close closure to all activities by PLA China, Head of the Staff General MM Naravane said on Saturday.
He said if the Chinese military maintains the spread through the second winter, it can cause situations such as LOC (Line of Control) even though it is not active LOC as in front of the west with Pakistani army staff said if the Chinese military continues with its spread, Indian soldiers will also maintain its presence at The sides are “as good as what PLA has done (People’s Liberation Army)”.
The military India and China have imited in several areas along the actual control line (LAC) in East Ladakh for almost 17 months even though both parties were released from a number of friction points this year after a series of talks.
“Yes, it’s a matter of concern that large-scale accumulation has occurred and continues, and to maintain such a buildup, there is a number of the same infrastructure development on the Chinese side,” General Naravane said at the Concllary.
“So, that means that they (PLA) are there to stay.
We keep close closures of all these developments, but if they are there to stay, we are there to stay too,” he said.
General Naravane said the accumulation and infrastructure development on the Indian side was as good as what PLA had done.
“But what will happen, especially if they continue to live there through the second winter, definitely means that we will be in a LC situation (control line) even though it is not an active LC as well as on the western front,” he said.
“But surely, we must pay attention to all the buildup and spread of troops to see that they did not enter into any mistake once more,” said the army’s head.
For a question, General Naravane said it was difficult to understand why China triggered a deadlock when the world staggered under the pandemic of Covid-19 and when the country had a certain problem on the east sea.
“While what happens, to open the front is more difficult to understand or understand,” he said.
“But whatever it is, I don’t think they have been able to reach one of them because of the quick response made by the Indian armed forces,” Army’s head added.
Asked to comment on the overall situation in East Ladakh, General Naravane refers to a recent statement by an external ministry spokesman and said he had clearly stated that whatever happens on the northern border is due to massive buildup by the Chinese side and non- Compliance with various protocols.
“So it’s very clear about what triggers for everything that has happened,” said General Naravane.
The head of the army said the deadlock in East Ladakh, the Indian Army realized that it needed to be done more in the field of ISR (intelligence, supervision and reconnaissance).
“So it has become a Thurst of our modernization for the past year.
Likewise, weapons and other equipment we think we need for the future, they also get our attention,” he said.
The border deadlock between India and the Chinese military erupted on May 5 last year in East Ladakh following the clash of violence in the area of Lake Pangong.
Both parties gradually increased their placement by rushing for tens of thousands of soldiers and heavy weapons.
As a result of a series of military and diplomatic talks, both parties completed the release process in the gorry area in August.
In February, both parties completed the withdrawal of troops and weapons from the north and South Bank of Lake Pangong in line with the release agreement.
Each side currently has around 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the LAC in the sensitive sector.
