New Delhi: Citroen Citroen Citroen on Thursday globally launched a hatchback C3 specifically designed for the Indian and South American markets.
C3, when launched, will compete with Like Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai I20, Tata Altroz and Volkswagen Polo.
C3 is the first model of the “C Cubed” program launched in 2019 – a family planning to launch three vehicles with an international focus in 2024.
Cars will be produced at the company’s facilities in Tamil Nadu and are expected to continue for sale at the beginning of 2022.

Citroen C3 includes less than 4m to fall into a lower tax ribbon.
The company said C3 would be intended for new consumers to get married at the age of thirties, from the middle class that appeared, with comfortable income.
In terms of design, Briefs called on the architecture by considering certain local needs, including resilience, along with modern, prestigious, exploding with vitality.
The front of the C3 is marked with a high position of the hood and front-end structure.
C3 also accommodates Bonnet Citroën family and front gril.
It features a dual-stage light signature, with a double Chevron.
The headlights consist of two separate elements with position lights, indicators, and running lights on the day at the top and, at the lower level, low beam and high beam, with a light guide at the top and the other at the bottom.
The signature of the rear light is also quite prominent and echo two horizontal lines seen at the front end which forms a triangle.
Citroen emphasizes the specific attributes of SUV C3, including a high driver position, which is actually one of the highest in the segment.
The side-side of muscular vehicles, departing with a protective bubble panel that is spent into the bodywork.
The big wheel (635mm), high ground permit (180mm), and short overhang to overcome angle on the road surface and avoid damage to the front bumper, black wheel arches and roof bars that increase the height of the vehicle, all elements are inspired by the SUV.
The new Bonnet C3, according to Citroen, intentionally has a hat that sweeps steeply to ensure excellent visibility, which is useful when dealing with dense traffic in big cities of India or South America.
The position of the driver’s high seat is another feature that increasingly increases external visibility.
Higher cleaning of soil than on traditional hatchbacks (extra 110mm) is designed to avoid scraping children, which can cause damage to rough roads.
It is also among the leaders in the segment at 180mm.
The company claims to have worked on an approach angle (on the front) and the angle of departure (behind) according to Indian conditions better.
Therefore, eleven customization variants are available in India, including one-tone and two-tone (body in one color and roof in other colors).
In terms of architecture, C3 packs a 2.54 meter wheel distance.
It offers passengers in the second row seat between the biggest foot space in the segment (653mm), the company claims.
The front seat gave the best elbow room (1.418mm) and a leading market head room (991mm).
The new C3 has a practical storage compartment, including a 315 liter boot, a 1 liter glove box, two 2-liter door pockets on the front that can accommodate a 1-liter bottle along with other objects, two door pockets 1 liter on the back.
Placed under the dashboard, this useful feature also echoed the color of the decoration (orange in India and Blue in Latin America).
A 10-inch capacitive touch screen, the biggest in the segment, stand out from the dashboard.
It offers a mirror screen function, to reproduce the appearance of the driver’s smartphone application.
This allows them to see the usual tools they like even when they are in the car.
Compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, applications and multimedia content can easily be navigated by pressing the touch screen directly or through voice commands.
The steering control is designed to be very convenient in terms of ergonomics and safety.
