Thiruvananthapuram: Seventeen Ministers in the LDF Cabinet previously conducted 27 countries’ tours and private capacity from August 2016 to December 2019.
According to details submitted in the Assembly, Head of Pinarayi Minister Vijayan came first and second in terms of the number of trips taken abroad.
Vijayan conducted 14 trips, including personal visits to the UAE and one for medical purposes to the US.
The remaining 12 is the official trip to UAE, USA, Bahrain, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, England, Japan and South Korea.
Surendran, Minister of Tourism later, did 13 trips abroad and visited Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Vatican, the United States, England, Kazakhstan, and Japan.
Other ministers who travel abroad are ak balan, kt jalael, tp ramakrishnan, kk shailaja, j mercykutty, e chandrasekharan, mathew t thomas, k raju, ak seasendran, g sudhakaran, vs sunilkumar, tm thomas chandy, thomas chandy and c Raveendranath.
Of the 17 ministers who took the tour, Thomas Chandy, Raveendranath, Mathew T Thomas and E Chandrasyharan only did the only trip, while G Sudhakanan and J Mercykutty did two trips.
There are ministers who only travel personal.
All six foreign trips conducted by the Minister of Agriculture at that time Sunilkumar was personal and he visited Italy, UAE, USA, Oman and Sri Lanka.
