Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will start three weeks ‘Samaj Sudhar Abhiyan’ (campaign for social reform) from Motihari on Wednesday (December 22).
As part of the campaign, he will visit all 9 divisions throughout the state and hold public meetings to make people aware of the benefits of prohibitions and adverse effects of children’s dowry and marriage systems in the community.
After the public meeting, CM will hold another meeting with government officials to review the progress of a different welfare scheme especially those under the ‘Nischay Part-2’ program and the enforcement of prohibits and steps taken for the elimination of social crimes such as the child’s dowry and marriage systems .
In accordance with official orders issued by the Cabinet Secretariat Department (CSD) Additional Chief Secretary of Sanjay Kumar, CM will hold 12 public meetings at 12 district headquarters scheduled to visit as part of ‘Samaj Sudhar Abhiyan’.
“CM will include one district each in six divisions – namely suggestions, Darbhanga, Kosi, Purnia, Bhagalpur and style; and each of the two districts in three other divisions namely Tirhut, Patna and Munger, as part of the campaign.
CM will be Started his campaign on December 22 from MotaHari where he first held a public meeting.
Then, CM will hold a meeting to review the progress of a different welfare scheme.
Officials of two districts – East Champaran and West Champaran – will participate in a review meeting that will be held in MotaH .
The last public meeting under the campaign will be held in Patna on January 15 next year.

CM will also visit Gopalgnaj (on December 24), Sasaram (December 27), Muzaffarpur (December 29), Samastipur (December 30), Style (January 4), Begusarai (January 6), Jamui (January 8), Purnia (8 January), January 11), Madhepura (January 12) and Bhagalpur January 9, 13.
In all of these places, CM first will hold a public meeting where it will interact with the audience, especially Jeevika members, and then hold a meeting with a government concerned with the government said officials, CSD officials said.
The scheme which is mainly reviewed by CM is a sustainable livelihood program, ‘Har Ghar Nal Jal Jal Yojana (tap water supply for each household), toilet construction under the Lohiya Sajhh Bihar Yojana, rice procurement and law enforcement status of total prohibition and steps -The step taken for the elimination of social crime such as the dowry system and child marriage, said CSD officials.
