Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday visited several villages facing a situation such as floods in the Nalanda District, Nawada and Patna, and issued instructions needed to officials to resolve the problems of affected villages.
Situations such as floods have been created in many villages in three districts because they overflow from local rivers after heavy rains caused by cyclones in their water catchment areas in the last two days.
Accompanied by the Minister of Water Resources Negara Sanjay Kumar Jha, Nalanda MP Kaushalendra Kumar and many senior officials, cm went to different villages through the streets and spoke to the villagers to take stock situations.
Nitish spent almost six hours in different affected villages in three districts.
When the path of the approach was flooded by flood water, cm went to the village of Bikhochak Dariyapur under the Patna Regency block on foot to take stock of the flood situation.
He spoke with villagers and received their advice to resolve the problem.
Cm then ask local officials who accompany to take the steps needed to find out permanent solutions for the roundabout around the village.
Nitish also conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the embankment violated due to the overflow of waters in Jirayeen and Kumhari river near Bind Village.
He walked on the dike site violated.
Nitish gave the patient to hear the village population problems and asked officials to find out direct solutions.
Cm then went to Katrisarai in the Nalanda district and took the stock of floods like the situation in the nearest villages.
He spoke to the villagers and asked their problems.
CM then asked the local officer to take the right action to resolve the problem of the villagers.
Furthermore, Nitish went to the Nardiganj Block in Nawada District and reviewed the water level rise in Panchane and Dhanarjay Rivers.
On the way back to the state capital, CM reviewed increased water trends on the Panchane River by standing on a Dihra-based bridge under Block Rahui in the Nalanda District.
He spoke with local representatives and asked about the situation like a flood.
Nitish then asked Nalanda DM Yogendra Singh to take the steps needed to ensure immediate assistance to the villagers affected.
When talking to media people, Nitish said he went to Nalanda and Nawada to take a stock of situations such as floods.
“The required instructions have been issued for officials.
All settings needed to help affected people will be made,” he said.
Sanjungan Sanjeev Hans Secretary Resources, Commissioner of the Division of Patna Sanjay Kumar Agarwal and Secretary for CM Anupam Kumar also accompanied CM during the flood situation review.
