Ahmedabad: Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) on Monday again increases the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Ahmedabad by Rs 1.5 to Rs 62.99 per kilogram from Rs 61.49.
Another city gas distribution company (CGD), Gujarat Gas Limited (GGL), raised the price of CNG throughout the country last Saturday.
The CNG price has risen several times, after the central government increases the price of gas produced in it of 62% from October.
Since August, ATGL has raised the price of CNG in Ahmedabad by Rs 7.69 per kg or 14% more than five increases.
The company’s CNG price in early August was Rs 55.30 per kg.
Now, the price is Rs 62.99 per kg (including tax).
The Adani Group company revised CNG prices regularly and has increased the price of CNG in Ahmedabad by Rs 10.63 per kg since January, when the price of Rs 52.36 per kg.
The revised rate is effective from January 25.
Gujarat Gujarat Limited State also increases CNG prices of Rs 8.33 per kg or 16% since August.
After keeping the price unchanged for more than one and a half years, the company made the first revision of 2021 on August 24, when raising the price of CNG of Rs 2 per kg to Rs 54.45 per kg.
GGL revised its CNG price three times since the last week of August.
