Co-op communities that work for farmers are respected

MySuru: Eleven major agricultural cooperative communities who work for farmers’ well-being, through agricultural activities to improve the economic conditions of farmers in MySuru and Chamarajanagar district, respected with the Sahakara Samaan award by ‘Vijay Karnataka’ on Thursday.
The event was held together by the central bank of the Mysuru-Chamarajanagara District Cooperative, Karnataka State Cooperative Federation, the Federation of Association of Mysuru District Milk Manufacturers and MySuru District Cooperative Union with ‘Vijay Karnataka’ at Mysore University, St Somashekar Cooperation Minister presented the appreciation to the President and CEO from the cooperative community.
He praised the efforts of ‘Vijay Karnataka’ in identifying primary agrarian cooperative communities that contribute to the economic activities of farmers in the rural sector.
MLA GT Devegowda, who is also the President of the State Cooperative Community Federation, said that acknowledging and appreciating the cooperative society of primary agriculture is a model initiative, and such programs must be done at the state level too, with publications.
