Coastal City gets the first Govt Evening College

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada District will get the first government of Evening College, which will appear in the P Dairanda Pai Satish Pai College Class One (GFGC), road car.
Although the University College in Hampankatta has been running an evening college from the past six years, this is the University of Mangalore, while those at GFGC are the first government to study under the jurisdiction of college education, which includes three districts.
The college was subject to sanctions under the scheme of Sandhya Shakti State government to manage the invasion of extra acceptance to undergraduate programs, and serve students in low-income groups.
College will appear at the existing PAI Pai Pai, Satish Pai GFGC, Car Street Campus, which has the highest number of acceptance among government universities in this district.
Apart from Dakshina Kannada, the Department of Higher Education has also allowed the opening of universities at 10 other evening universities, in 10 city corporate areas in the state.
Dr.
Jenifer Lolita C, Joint Director, Collegiate Education, Dakshina Kannada, said that this was the first employee under his jurisdiction, and would discuss the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu.
Starting this year, this will offer courses that are in high demand, and work-oriented courses such as BCOM and BCA, each will have 69 and 60 seats, and have a Mangalore University syllabus.
Rajasshekar Hebbar, the principal, added that because orders arrived late, many students have been accepted at the private college of this academic year.
Evening College was proposed during the state budget of 2021-22.
In the order, the Collegiate Education Department has also been subject to pole sanctions for teaching staff and non-teaching.
Evening College will get the main post, seven teaching faculties, two non-teaching staff, in addition to the three group staff ‘D’.
It is estimated that the operational costs per year will be around RS 57 lakh.
The evening college was established under the Sandhya Shakti scheme at 11 city corporate boundaries including Mangaluru, Dharwad, Beghiavi, Balari, Bengaluru, Davanagere, Tumakuru, MySuru, Shivamogga, Vijayapura and Kalaburaf.
