Coimbatore queued one night in advance for vaccination tokens

When Coimbatore continues to maintain its tag from the worst hit district in the state, the population is getting desperate for the vaccine.
People began to queue from 9pm on Friday to get tokens for vaccinations at Rakipallayam Panchayat Union Middle School.
At 7:30 a.m.
on Saturday, the line has grown to around 800 to 1,000 people who hope to get 500 tokens.
“The line is so long so that only the people who came before 4:30 a.m.
managed to get tokens,” said one person who was in line.
Others in the queue said he had previously tried to approach the vaccination center in Thudiangur, Velpinar and NarasiCenpalayam but failed to get tokens even up at 4:30 a.m.
Within corporate limits, people began to march from 2.30am to 3 in the morning.
Meanwhile, a vaccinated state of 4.73 lakh people on Saturday, the highest since January.
In June, the state was vaccinated by 4.3 lakh people a day.
With this country so far given 1.5 doses of crore from vaccines.
“More people are now willing to take vaccines.
We provide as much as we have on almost every day,” said Minister of Health MA Subramanian.
