Ranchi: More than 180 contract staff working at the National Health Mission State Unit (NHM) carried out unlimited attacks on sudden cessation of one of their colleagues and alleged abuse by senior officials.
They also demand implementing HR policies with direct effects.
Senior NHM officials, however, said the termination was related to financial irregularities by contractual staff.
Working at the NHM headquarters arrived at the grinding termination after more than 180 employees working at the state headquarters under different health department cells running immediately after the office was opened on Monday.
The reason behind the strike was suddenly the termination of the manager of the Jwala Prasad State Program on charges of financial irregularities.
Contractual workers who protested accused that Prasad was fired on a false accusation.
“We have worked without stopping for the past two years without vacation or regular payments because we were asked to do it during a pandemic and this was what we got in return.
The man who was fired did not tighten the line of senior officials and which was why they had moved it,” said a senior consultant with anonymity requirements.
Employees wrote a letter to MD NHM who asked him to revoke the prakad termination and also demanded that no one eliminate this way.
Prasad said: “I have made a scapegoat for unknown reasons.
Recently I have continued the community training program proposal in Covid-19 about the direction of the Additional Mission of Vidyanand Sharma Pankaj Md nhm for approval.
I do not recommend anyone but they fire me say the smell of my proposal from financial irregularities , 5 lakh.
But when asked about proposals that were never accepted, he refused to comment.
